Local & Talented

Local talent Anri Kimura has found her passion by creating a line of shirt dresses called 'Plum Picking'.  She has combined her love of vintage shopping and sewing all into one.  Anri started making these great little 'Sunday in the park' dresses for herself and friends and has now decided to sell them on Etsy.  Anri hunts through vintage stores finding tank tops and men's dress shirts where she then reconstructs them into one piece - she likes to call it upcycling! You can purchase the dresses for around $40.00 on Etsy at her page Plum Picking

Wear the dresses as they are with flats & a cardigan for a beautiful fall day or throw on flat boots and a blazer for a cooler day - the perfect easy addition to any girls wardrobe.

Business of Fashion

Here are a couple pictures from the recent event at the Opus Hotel where Imran Amed- the mastermind behind the 'Business of Fashion' website spoke.  He enlightened us about social media and the impact it is having on designers, companies, bloggers, and the world as we know it.  It was a great to see all of the local fashionistas in attendance to hear this fellow Canadian speak.

ASOS Fall Collection

Absolutely loving the fur details, leopard prints, capes, and boots.  Asos is a great website to find the trendiest pieces for affordable prices & amazing shipping rates. They've done a terrific job at taking many different trends for the fall season and incorporating them into one collection.  Big thumbs up from the OS team, they're definitely on our 'must buy' list.

Lanvin for H&M

Operation Style was so excited to hear the news that Alber Elbaz will be collaborating with H&M.  Lanvin is one of our favorite lines so we can only imagine the magic they will make together.  Here's a great video we found! xo
