Designer Spotlight - Tamara Mellon

 Jimmy Choo is one of the worlds leading designer footwear brands, these gorgeous lust worthy shoes can be found sitting next to my other best friend Christian Louboutain.

Though this bliss is unattainable for some, prices starting at $600, it will be very soon. Tamara Mellon has recently collaborated with Swedish retailer H&M to create a more affordable line of her luxury brand. The most exciting part about this union is it gave Tamara a chance to create a whole wardrobe for the Jimmy Choo women. A collection filled with a few of our favorite things; Suede, Fringe, Sequins and last but certainly not least shoes, shoes, shoes.

On November 14, 2009 the line launches right here in Vancouver, you not only see us but many others there to check out what Tamara’s vision is. When asked who the Jimmy Choo for H&M girl is? Her response “she would be me 20 years ago”… And she went from party girl and socialite to British Vouge accessory editor to a high-powered and extremely successful female shoe mogul. This is the happy ending for any fashion loving female, President and CEO of Jimmy Choo

You got That Alexander Wang Thang

The Alexander Wang Spring 2010 Collection was all about American sportswear.  It definitely had a varsity pinup look to it complete with khaki, denim, leather, & clutches that ironically resembled a football.  He even put his own spin on the traditional "tighty whiteys" & somehow made them look ALMOST wearable paired with knee highs and zippered sandal boots (Don't be surprised if you see Kanye's girlfriend Amber Rose rocking this look).  OS especially loves Wang's hot hybrid of trackpant leggings.  This spring feel comfy & look amazing in your classic grey sweatshirt paired with caramel leather shorts & leopard booties...hot hot hot.  Pull up your knee highs as well if you're feeling a highschool flashback is needed to complete your look.

A few snap shots from The Urban Behavior fashion show held at Sanafir a couple weeks ago.  As some of you may know it's a ton of work putting on a fashion show but this one definitely paid off.  All of the girls looked amazing & totally rocked the runway whether they came down dancing or walking. Thank you again to all of the models, dancers, photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists, & sponsors each & every one of you were amazing. 

P.S. it helped that we had our assistant Hamony who puts Rachel Zoe's very own Brad to shame.  We love love love you! xox

Someone Call The Doctor...This Outfit is Sick

SPOTTED: Kiks at Republic

On a recent trip to LaLa Land Kristy shopped till she dropped...literally after walking through the San Pedro Wholesale Market with our good friend Coco (who's opening a store in Saskatchewan called Obviously Chic) for 6 hours they came out blistered & bruised.  They somehow found the time & energy the next day to hit The Grove where Kristy picked up this fringed skirt & one shoulder silver top at Forever 21.  If you're lucky you may be able to find it at Metrotown's brand new location!

OS Does Not Love...

All we have to say is "WHY?" people's excuse to wearing these awful holey rubber things is comfort..that's the price you need to pay for comfort? What has the world come to?  Another Excuse we've heard for wearing crocs is they're great for gardening & yard work.  A great alternative to these rubber clod hoppers is Hunter Boots, now there's something OS does love - still comfortable, still rubber, still wearable, & look great.

Star Studded

SPOTTED: Sairah Billy at Ginger 62. 

How could we not notice this fashionista as she strutted by with her Marc Jacobs gold & silver studded clutch & "oh so Blake Lively" head band.  OS Loves Sairah's effortless style from her silk boyfriend blouse to the enormous watch she's sporting.  She has balanced her look brilliantly with feminine & masculine details.  Sairah can be found at Aritzia on Robson or out and about at all the hot spots...always looking fabulous
