Here are a couple pictures from the recent event at the Opus Hotel where Imran Amed- the mastermind behind the 'Business of Fashion' website spoke.  He enlightened us about social media and the impact it is having on designers, companies, bloggers, and the world as we know it.  It was a great to see all of the local fashionistas in attendance to hear this fellow Canadian speak.

Absolutely loving the fur details, leopard prints, capes, and boots.  Asos is a great website to find the trendiest pieces for affordable prices & amazing shipping rates. They've done a terrific job at taking many different trends for the fall season and incorporating them into one collection.  Big thumbs up from the OS team, they're definitely on our 'must buy' list.

Lanvin for H&M

Operation Style was so excited to hear the news that Alber Elbaz will be collaborating with H&M.  Lanvin is one of our favorite lines so we can only imagine the magic they will make together.  Here's a great video we found! xo

Ishara Event

We recently attended a great event at Ishara in Gastown  featuring delicious appetizers from Boneta & got to take a peak around the store.  Ishara carries some amazing unique pieces & is definitely worth going out of your way to check it out!  One of the lines we particularly loved was called 'Prairie NY' (below you can see one of the skirts they carry that was paired in store with a bright yellow top) the perfect outfit for a summer party with cosmos galore! We'll definitely be making a trip down soon to decrease our bank accounts but increase our wardrobe.  xo

p.s. The lighting made our hair look like funky colors! Still cute though!

Nicholas Kirkwood for Liberty

All year long Liberty has been celebrating its' famous florals with events and activities channeling love, creativity, & rebellion.  To add to the festivities Nicholas Kirkwood has designed a limited edition capsule collection using prints of parrot exotic tulips & Santa Maria - a tea dress print from the early 90's (all prints Kirkwood chose from Liberty's archives).  You may have seen or heard of Kirkwood's other recent partnerships with M.A.C. or Target.  The result of these two British powerhouses collaborating is a show stopping, leave you speechless, to die for collection of heels.  These will cost you a pretty penny, nothing's free (or cheap) these days.  Buy them online at Liberty for $850.
